A classic spring season storm is cranking up this Sunday evening with the NWS issuing various alerts from border to border to cover impacts. The featured map presents NWS alerts active at 6 PM CDT Sunday. The legend contains an entry for practically every alert type that a NWS office can currently issue. Those highlighted are those active on the map and are 30 in total! In Kansas, you can even find a Tornado Warning over top an area that will be under a Blizzard Warning later. This system brought some snow and much needed rainfall to Iowa on Sunday. Will attempt to generate a map analysis of available snowfall reports later on Monday.
