This application allows easy navigation of National Weather Service issued products with Valid Time Event Coding (VTEC).
13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

extending from near Churdan to near Casey to Nodaway, moving east
at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Intense burst of heavy snow. Winds are generally under 15
mph, but any wind will blow the snow and further reduce
the visibility.
SOURCE...Radar and webcams.
IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.
This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 61 and 109.
Locations impacted include...
Carroll, Perry, Jefferson, Adel, Greenfield, Guthrie Center, Ogden,
Stuart, Dallas Center, Earlham, Coon Rapids, Glidden, Panora, Lake
Panorama, Anita, Exira, Redfield, Grand Junction, Adair, and
Fontanelle.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.
Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.
