13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

extending from 9 miles northeast of Groom to 6 miles northwest of
Umbarger, moving south at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than
one-quarter mile. Wind gusts up to 35 mph.

IMPACT...Dangerous and life-threatening travel conditions are
expected to develop rapidly in the warning area.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 27 between mile markers 98 and 123.
Interstate 40 between mile markers 52 and 123.
Locations impacted include...
Amarillo, Canyon, Panhandle, Claude, White Deer, Lake Tanglewood,
Groom, Bushland, Washburn, Umbarger, Palo Duro Canyon, Goodnight,
Mescalero Park, Timbercreek Canyon, and Pantex.

Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the
visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.
Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes

at 20 mph.

blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than
one-quarter mile. Wind gusts up to 35 mph.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.
