The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Clayton County in north central Georgia...
  Southwestern DeKalb County in north central Georgia...
  South Central Fulton County in north central Georgia...

* Until 100 PM EDT.

* At 707 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the 
  warned area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. The 
  expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional 
  rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. 
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Midtown, College Park, 
  Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Forest Park, Riverdale, Jonesboro. 
  This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
           HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of
           low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Atlanta, Decatur, Jonesboro, City of South Fulton, East Point, 
  Stockbridge, Union City, Forest Park, Riverdale, College Park, 
  Morrow, Lovejoy, Hapeville, Avondale Estates, Lake City, 
  Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Grant Park-Zoo Atlanta, Midtown, 
  Candler-Mcafee and Druid Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and 
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are 
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

however given the scale of recent rainfall river and local flooding 
will continue. Please continue to heed remaining road closures and 
local official guidance.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 200 PM EDT for portions of 
central, east central, north central, northeast, northwest, and west 
central Georgia.
