* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...
  South Central Morris County in northern New Jersey...
  Somerset County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 100 AM EDT.

* At 802 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding 
  across the warned area. Numerous water rescues are ongoing in 
  northern Middlesex County. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have 
  fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. 
  Flash flooding is already occurring.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for northeastern Somerset and 
  northern Middlesex Counties. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS 
  SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

At 856 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported flash flooding 
across the warned area. Numerous road closures and water rescues 
have been reported from Somerset and Middlesex Counties. Please 
avoid travel in these areas tonight if at all possible. Between 4 
and 8 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 
to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is already occurring.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for northern Somerset and northern 
Middlesex Counties. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK 
HIGHER GROUND NOW!
