13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

Central Leflore County in north central Mississippi...
* Until 215 PM CDT.
* At 1013 AM CDT, emergency management continued to reported
significant flash flooding across the warned area. Between 7 and
13 inches of rain have fallen. Significant and life threatening
Flash flooding is already occurring.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Carroll County Eastern Leflore
and Western Grenada Counties. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS
SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Emergency management.
IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of
low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Greenwood, Grenada, Itta Bena, Black Hawk, Leflore, Jefferson,
Sidon, North Carrollton, Teoc, Malmaison, Avalon, Holcomb, Money,
Coila, Seven Pines, Bew Springs, Sunnyside, Elliott, Quito and
Schlater.
Numerous roads are flooded and many washed out. Water rescues are
underway as homes are flooded in certain areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
