  inches, with local amounts close to 5 inches, have occurred in the 
  Philadelphia metro area. This is a dangerous situation. Flash 
  flooding is already occurring. This replaces the previous flash 
  flood warning in effect for the area.

At 321 PM EDT, law enforcement continued to report numerous water 
rescues in the northern Philadelphia area, especially near Tacony 
Creek, which is completely out of its banks. Excessive rainfall of 3 
to as much as 6 inches likely occurred in this area. Several reports 
of flash flooding have also been received in the rest of the warning 
area. This is a very dangerous situation. Flash flooding is in 
progress.

area. Although the worst of the flooding has ended, residual 
flooding continues in much of the area. Use extreme caution if

BURLINGTON...SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY...SOUTHEASTERN BUCKS...
PHILADELPHIA AND EASTERN DELAWARE COUNTIES...

At 552 PM EDT, law enforcement continued to report flash flooding in 
the warning area, especially in Montgomery County near the Audubon 
area. Although the worst of the flooding has ended, residual 
flooding continues in much of the area. Use extreme caution if 
traveling in the warning area this evening.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash 
         flooding.

SOURCE...Law enforcement.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, 
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Philadelphia, Camden, Gloucester City, Cherry Hill, Bensalem,
Evesham, Mount Laurel, Ewing, Norristown, Willingboro, Deptford,
Voorhees, Medford, West Deptford, Lindenwold, Lansdale, West
Norriton, East Norriton, Lumberton and Florence.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Protecting yourself from immediate threats to life and safety shall
take priority.  Whenever possible, as long as it does not cause
greater harm, all COVID-19 protective action guidance should be
followed.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
