13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

  North central Oktibbeha County in northeastern Mississippi...
  South central Clay County in northeastern Mississippi...

* Until 245 PM CST.

* At 1147 AM CST, emergency management reported the imminent failure 
  of Oktibbeha County Lake Dam. The dam has not failed yet but there 
  is a high probabilty of failure. 

  THIS IS A FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY FOR NORTHERN OKITBBEHA COUNTY AND 
SOUTH CENTRAL CLAY COUNTY. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding from the imminent failure 
           of Oktibbeha County Lake Dam.

  SOURCE...Emergency management.

  IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER 
           GROUND NOW! IMMEDIATE EVACUATION for areas downstream 
           from the Oktibbeha County Lake Dam along the Biba Wila 
           Creek and Trim Cane Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

  of Oktibbeha County Lake Dam. The dam has not failed yet but a 
  chance for failure still exists. County officials are taking 
  actions to mitigate the threat of failure which are 
  currently alleviating the pressure on the dam. 

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding from the imminent failure 
           of Oktibbeha County Lake Dam.
