13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Hempstead County in southwestern Arkansas...
  Northeastern Sevier County in southwestern Arkansas...
  Southern Howard County in southwestern Arkansas...
  Northwestern Nevada County in southwestern Arkansas...

* Until 1045 AM CDT.

* At 548 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  heavy rain falling across the warned area. Up to four to eight 
  inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is already 
  occurring.

  THIS IS A FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY FOR PERSISTENT RAINFALL and is a 
PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Nashville, Prescott, Mineral Springs, Dierks, Blevins, Corinth,
  Center Point, McCaskill, Ozan, Boughton, Muddy Fork, Lebanon and
  Provo.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
