  Northeastern Greene County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 819 PM CDT, a large and extremely dangerous tornado was located
  over Willard, or 11 miles northwest of Springfield, moving east at
  35 mph.

  This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris 
           may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile 
           homes will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes, 
           businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete 
           destruction is possible.

At 831 PM CDT, a severe squall line capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located 8 miles
north of Springfield, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been
cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a
Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area.  However
gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for southwestern
Missouri.

Remember, a Tornado Warning still remains in effect for southeastern 
Greene County.
