13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

* Until 545 AM CDT.
* At 243 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a band of very heavy rain
occurring across the warned area. Several inches of rain have
fallen across the area since yesterday morning and additional
heavy rainfall will lead to life threatening flash flooding.
THIS IS A FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY FOR NORTH CENTRAL TERREBONNE AND
NORTHWEST LAFOURCHE PARISHES. THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF HOUMA AND
RACELAND. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER
GROUND NOW!
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Houma, Mathews, Gray, Raceland, Bayou Cane, Schriever and Chackbay.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
