The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Perry County in southeastern Mississippi...  
  Wayne County in southeastern Mississippi... 
  Northwestern Greene County in southeastern Mississippi...

* Until 145 AM CST Friday.

* At 743 PM CST, emergency management reported very heavy rain 
  across the warned area. Extreme flash flooding is occurring in the 
  warned area with numerous roads closed, and many homes and 
  businesses being threatened.  Water rescues are being reported in 
  Richton, Mississippi.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for the Perry, Wayne and Northwest 
  Greene County area. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. 
  SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Waynesboro, Richton, Clara, New Augusta and Buckatunna. 

Additional rainfall amounts of one to three inches are possible in 
the warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

  area. Extreme flash flooding is occurring with numerous roads 
  closed and many homes and businesses being threatened.  Water 
  rescues are being reported. Up to a foot of storm total 
  precipitation has fallen in some locations.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for the Perry, Wayne and Northwest 
  Greene County area. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. 
  SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!
