13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

* At 429 AM CST, emergency management reported flash flooding across
the warned area with numerous water rescues ongoing and 25 water
rescues total so far across the warned area. Estimated rainfall
amounts of 8 to 11 inches of rain have fallen.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for West Hattiesburg, Hattiesburg,
and Petal. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER
GROUND NOW!
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hattiesburg, Petal, West Hattiesburg, Rawls Springs, Sunrise,
Macedonia, Eastabuchie, Moselle and Ovett.
Additional rainfall amounts in excess of one inch are possible in
the warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
