13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Aransas County in south central Texas...
  Southeastern San Patricio County in south central Texas...

* Until 930 AM CDT.

* At 633 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported several 
  intersections in Port Aransas are flooding due heavy rain across 
  the warned area. 1.0 to 2.0 inches of rain have fallen within the 
  past few hours. Flash flooding is already occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Port Aransas, Ingleside, Aransas Pass and Ingleside On The Bay. 

Additional rainfall amounts of 1.0 to 2.0 inches are possible in the 
warned area over the next couple of hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

At 755 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Port 
Aransas. 4 to 5 inches of rain have fallen in the past few hours. 
Flash flooding is already occurring.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Port Aransas. This is a 
PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Port Aransas, Ingleside, Aransas Pass and Ingleside On The Bay. 

Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches are possible in the 
warned area.
