The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Bradford County in northeastern Pennsylvania...
* Until 515 PM EDT Monday.
* At 1112 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the a
large portion of Bradford County, especially in the west. Heavy
rainfall up to 2 to 3 inches is expected into this afternoon. This
will cause flash flooding over many flood-prone areas in Bradford
County.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Ridgebury, Canton, West Franklin, Troy, South Waverly, West
Burlington, Monroe, Sylvania and Alba.
This is a potential dangerous situation. Persons in flood prone
areas should be prepared to take quick action to protect life and
property.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

WESTERN BRADFORD COUNTY...
At 1228 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen and an additional
two inches or more is expected into the afternoon. Numerous roads
are already flooded with Route 6 and 14 closed. Major flash flooding
is expected along many small streams and creeks as the additional
heavy rain falls. This is a dangerous situation and if you live in a
flood prone area be prepared to act quickly to protect lives and
property.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Ridgebury, Canton, West Franklin, Troy, South Waverly, West
Burlington, Monroe, Sylvania and Alba.

At 244 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain continuing across
the warned area. Up to 4 inches of rain has fallen. Major flash
flooding is occurring with numerous roads and bridges flooded, at
least 20 homes or buildings flooded. There were water rescues and
evacuations on-going. People were reportedly trapped in a hardware
store in Troy. Hardest hit areas were Ridgebury, Troy, and
Burlington. Additional heavy rain will continue to cause serious
life-threatening flash flooding.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Western Bradford County. This is
a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!
Some locations that will experience major flash flooding include...
Ridgebury, Canton, West Franklin, Troy, West Burlington, Monroe,
Sylvania and Alba.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
