The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central El Paso County in southwestern Texas...

* Until 345 AM MDT

* At 1246 AM MDT, Doppler radar continued to indicate stationary 
  thunderstorms producing very heavy rain across the warned area. 
  Flash flooding is ongoing.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Socorro...Clint...Sparks... 
  San Elizario...and Far Southeast El Paso near the Zaragoza 
  Bridge. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER 
  GROUND NOW! 

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Socorro...
  Clint...
  Sparks...
  San Elizario...
  Far Southeast Portions of the City of El Paso.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 AM MDT FOR
CENTRAL EL PASO COUNTY...

At 141 AM MDT, rainfall had started to diminish over the Lower 
Valley. However, a new line of thunderstorms with rainfall rates of 
1 to 2 inches per hour has developed over Juarez just a few miles 
south and west of the Rio Grande. Heavy Rainfall is likely to move 
back into hard hit areas by 2 AM, especially areas south and west of 
I-10.

Radar indicates 3 to 5 inches of rain has fallen over the Flash 
Flood Emergency Area. 

This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

CENTRAL EL PASO COUNTY...

At 249 AM MDT, torrential rainfall had diminished over the warning 
area, but light to moderate rainfall continued to move into the 
Lower Valley. While radar indicated pockets of heavier rainfall over 
areas west of Juarez, these will most likely continue to diminish in 
intensity as they cross the Rio Grande.

With runoff likely continuing, and the slight chance for some 
heavier pockets of rainfall, the Flash Flood Warning will be kept in 
effect.
