The featured map presents an analysis of NCEI average daily high temperature for this week of days. There's a considerable gradient to be found over the region with upper 70s not to far away from upper 80s and 90s. While some of this gradient is explained by the general north to south temperature gradient found over the northern hemisphere; the west to east change of soils, vegetation and elevation play an important role with the difference in average high temperatures.
