Plenty of Zeros

Posted: 26 Jul 2021 05:33 AM

Since the outbreak of severe weather and associated rainfall two Wednedays ago (14 July), much of the state has not seen a drop of rainfall since. The featured map presents IEM computed rainfall totals for the period since this event. Southeastern Iowa has again fared well with the highest totals shown on the map. Heat and humidity levels continue to rise with even hotter conditions expected by mid week with a number of locations hitting 100 degrees by Wednesday and Thursday.
