It has been a warm start to April with growing degree day totals about two to three times of average as shown by the featured map. Along with recent rains and things are certainly greening up in a hurry. The question remains though if we will see significant cold yet this month. The near term forecast has chances of freezing temperatures again next week, but nothing too cold and daytime temperatures near 50.
