The past two months continue to creep along with not much for very cold temperatures to speak of. In fact, some of the lows back in September and October were most extreme than what we have seen since 1 November as shown by the featured chart of daily low temperature departures for Ames. The near term forecast continues with the dearth of very cold temperatures and melting of the recent snow looks likely before Christmas Day next Friday.
