The featured chart presents daily precipitation totals from the Des Moines Airport since the first of July. The months of August and September have seen plenty of days with no rainfall and it is amazing to note the one wet week of September from two weeks ago being an outlier over the past three months. The forecast for this week continues the very pleasant late summer / early fall weather with not much chance of rainfall until next weekend. With the growing season over for agricultural crops, this weather is near perfect to help farmers make progress with the fall harvest.
