The featured chart presents the latest day of the year to have a high temperature for Des Moines. Unfortunately for those that want summer to be over with, all of the dates shown are during August and later into the year. So while we have now passed the peak in average daily high temperatures, there is still plenty of summer to go along with the chance of very hot temperatures.
