The month of May is now mercifully in the books, so it is a good time to look back on the daily high and low temperatures along with climatology plotted for Ames by the featured chart. While high temperatures struggled most days below average, low temperatures were above average for much of the last half of the month. That is the one positive of having lots of gloomy weather, the clouds help to support overnight temperatures. June will start off very warm as it appears we are fully into summer weather now, with the hottest temperatures of the year into the 90s tomorrow and days this week in the 80s otherwise.
