The featured chart presents the yearly planting progress with this year's latest estimate of 39% denoted with an X for all previous years. Of the past 9 years, only 2016 comes in with a slightly faster pace than this year. One would expect next week's updated number to be a sizable increase in progress as well with good conditions prevailing this week.
