Mostly Dry Two Weeks

The just released USDA crop progress numbers show that Iowa has gotten off to a fast start planting corn this year. The featured map shows one of the reasons why with much of the state below average for precipitation over the past two weeks. This along with recent warmer temperatures, sunshine, and low humidity have helped to dry fields out. There will be chances of rain and thunderstorms today, but the next seven days do not look all that wet.
