Our streak of amazing February weather continued on Tuesday with highs in the 60s and pushing 70+ in some parts of the state. The featured chart looks at the frequency of having the 2 PM temperature in the 60s for Des Moines by month. It is interesting to note that the February frequency is higher than July! Of course, during July the temperatures are almost always warmer than this level. The 4% frequency would mean 1 out of 25 days or roughly one February day per year on average. We have another very warm day to go before more typical weather of February arrives for the weekend.
