While the end of April was cool, temperatures did remain above freezing for much of the corn belt. The featured map displays the last date of reported sub 32 degree low temperature for the NWS Climate Report sites. A number of places to our north and west had freezing temperatures just yesterday! The current forecast does not show signs of freezing temperatures for Iowa anytime soon, so hopefully we are frost free for the rest of the growing season.
