Brisk winds combined with very cold air to produce dangerous wind chills over the weekend that have spilled over into Monday. The NWS issued a Wind Chill Warning for parts of northern Iowa. The featured map displays the average number of such warnings issued per year for each county in the state. The highest frequencies are over the northcentral with lower values to the south. The cold conditions from the weekend will persist into mid week.
