After a very start dry to October, another round of showers and thunderstorms visited the state for the second straight day on Wednesday. These two rounds have not covered the entire state though and the featured map displays the number of days since the last measurable (trace events not counted) precipitation based on NWS tracked climate sites. The dry streak continues for much of northwestern Iowa with Esterville and Sioux Falls up to 22 days!
