While not a complete washout, there were showers and thunderstorms this past Memorial Day weekend. The featured map displays four day total estimates from NCEP. Most of the eastern half of Iowa is analyzed to have received over an inch with lower totals in the west. Stronger thunderstorms on Monday evening dropped isolated higher totals over northern Iowa. More rainfall is in the forecast later this week.
