Temperatures warmed nicely on Thursday pushing 50 degrees for Ames. The featured chart presents the number of days with the high temperature above 50 and the number with the high below freezing since the beginning of the year. This winter has seen its fair share of cold days with this being the fifth straight year with more than average number of cold days.
