After a brutally cold start to January, temperatures have generally been above average for the past two weeks for Ames. The forecast has a return of the cold air starting tonight with lows in the single digits and then highs in the teens for the rest of the week. The good news is that we will see a bit more of the sun even with colder temperatures as the fog and low clouds leave us for now.
