After a mostly snow-less November, December is set to make up for lost time with a very powerful storm arriving on Tuesday. The featured image looks at derived accumulated snowfall predictions from weather forecast models run Sunday evening along with the NWS forecast for Des Moines. The models predict over a foot of snow for Des Moines! The other major concern will be very strong winds, which will blow the snow around.
