The net result of all the rainfall chances early this months has been a donut shaped pattern of accumulation (Mmmmm, donut shaped pattern) centered over the state. There have been other parts of the state that have missed out on the rainfall as well, notably extreme northwest Iowa. The forecast only holds hope for summer like chances of precipitation and very hot conditions this weekend.
