The meager amount of rainfall this weekend will do very little to help the worsening drought situation in Iowa. Only a few tiers of counties in NW Iowa are currently not in some sort of drought monitor classification. With crops harvested, the major impact of this dryness is probably the increased threat of grass fires. This will be exacerbated by above normal temperatures and windy conditions this week with only limited chances of light rain.
