The feature plot shows the growing degree day (base=50) departure from normal since 1 May. We are roughly 25 degrees (~2 days) behind after only 5 days of the month! The next 7 days should be at or above normal for temperature, so it won't take long to make up the deficit. Of course, GDD is not the only component for good plant growth. Rainfall is needed as well and our forecast has chances of rain for the next 7 days as well.
