Monthly rainfall deficits are running around an inch for March. A new storm system is already approaching Iowa this morning and will hopefully erase some of that shortfall. In general, we could use a good soaking of rain to green things up and lossen the ground up a little bit. This storm is expected to also dump some snowfall if temperatures are able to drop below freezing.
