Some folks in Fayette County received a month's worth of rainfall in a few hours. Reports of 6+ inches fell in a 2 hour period near the Arlington area. IEM rainfall estimates show a localized area of 2+ inch rainfall in Eastern Fayette. While these two data points seem contradictory, remember that each grid cell in this image represents a 16 km^2 area, while the 6 inch observation is a discrete point.
