...THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE LOCAL WATERS...



A few thunderstorms are affecting the local waters. These

thunderstorms are causing heavy rain, frequent lightning and wind

gusts up to 30 knots. One strong thunderstorm is about 40 miles

northwest of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and a cluster of

thunderstorms is located near Saint Thomas and Saint John, VI. The

storms are moving to the east northeast at around 10 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes.



Intense lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open

water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal

objects.
