...THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WESTERN WATERS OF PUERTO RICO...



At 240 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, 

capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms

were located over the coastal waters of western Puerto Rico, moving

west around 15 knots. These thunderstorms will continue to 

develop for the rest of the afternoon hours and additional 

thunderstorms are expected to develop over the Mona Passage.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until these storms pass.
