...THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING ACROSS THE ATLANTIC AND WESTERN WATERS

OF PUERTO RICO...

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are developing over

the western coastal waters of Puerto Rico and across the Atlantic

waters. This activity is due to a tropical wave moving across the

region. At least through the rest of the afternoon hours,

mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Waterspouts will

be possible with the strong thunderstorms. Boaters should seek

safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

Stay tuned for any additional statements or possible watches or

warnings from your National Weather Service forecast office in San Juan.
