The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a



* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...

  Arroyo in Puerto Rico...

  Guayama in Puerto Rico...

  Maunabo in Puerto Rico...

  Patillas in Puerto Rico...

  Salinas in Puerto Rico...

  Yabucoa in Puerto Rico...



* Until 130 AM AST.



* At 1133 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to 

  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. 

  Estimated rainfall amounts between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has 

  fallen.



Some locations that will experience flooding include...

  Guayama, Arroyo, Patillas, Maunabo, Yabucoa, Salinas, Emajagua, 

  Buena Vista, Corazon, Olimpo, Palmas, Playita, Jobos, Coqui, 

  Martorell, Vazquez, Coco, Yaurel, Lamboglia and Palo Seco.



Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This 

additional rain will result in minor flooding and ponding of water 

on roadways and in poor drainage areas.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or 

ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.Be especially cautious at night when it is 

harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
