  morning into early afternoon. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8

  inches are expected.

  dangerous to impossible, including during the morning and

  evening commute. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour at

  times are expected this morning into afternoon. Total snow

  accumulations of 9 to 12 inches are expected, with localized

  higher amounts.



* WHERE...Suffolk County.



* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Friday.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 55 mph will cause

  whiteout conditions in blowing snow. Significant drifting of the

  snow is likely. Damage to trees and power lines is possible,
