...FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY FOR MCDONALD COUNTY...

The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  McDonald County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 215 PM CDT Saturday

* At 811 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
  warned area. Up to six inches of rain has fallen. Flash flooding
  is already occurring.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for portions of McDonald County.

Locations along Indian Creek, Bullskin Creek, Beaver Branch, and the
Elk River will experience unusual and life threatening rises in
flood levels. The cities of Anderson, Lanagan, and Noel are included
in this flash flood emergency. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS
SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
  susceptible to the dangers of flash flooding.

  Goodman...                        Lanagan...

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Route DD at The Elk River just north of Noel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
