...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 AM EDT FOR
WAKE COUNTY...

At 645 AM EDT, major flooding was occurring along Crabtree creek at
Glenwood Avenue, Anderson Drive, and Wake Forest Road. Law
enforcement has reported numerous additional road closures in the
city of Raleigh and surrounding areas due to flooding. Flooding will
worsen during the rush hour commute this morning as additional heavy
rain tracks into Wake county from the east.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for central Wake County, including
the city of Raleigh. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Zebulon, Rdu International, Apex, Holly
Springs, Morrisville, Knightdale and Wendell.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Life threatening flash flooding is occurring across the area. Do not
attempt to travel unless you must do so to escape the flooding or
are under an evacuation order. If you are in a low lying area, along
a creek or stream, or in an area experiencing flooding, take action
now to protect your life. Move to higher ground immediately.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
