BRADDOCK HEIGHTS...

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM EDT FOR
CENTRAL FREDERICK COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MARYLAND...

At 904 PM EDT, emergency management reported widespread flash
flooding in and near Frederick with numerous water rescues, water
inside buildings, and many roads flooded. Up to six inches of rain
have fallen and more heavy rain is moving back into Frederick over
the next hour. Flash flooding is already occurring and may continue
to worsen!

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for the city of Frederick and
Braddock Heights! This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
HIGHER GROUND NOW!

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Frederick, Harry Grove Stadium, Ballenger Creek, Braddock Heights,
Clover Hill, Discovery-Spring Garden, Linganore-Bartonsville, Clifton
and Middletown In Frederick Md.

This includes the following streams and drainages...Israel Creek...
Catoctin Creek...Ballenger Creek...Monocacy River...Cone Branch...
Little Tuscarora Creek...Carroll Creek and Long Branch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
