...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM EDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN JEFFERSON...NORTH CENTRAL CLARK...SCOTT AND WASHINGTON
COUNTIES...

At 641 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area.  In the last 3 hours, Doppler Radar has
estimated that 3-4 inches of rain has fallen across central
Washington County.  Excessive runoff from this heavy rainfall will
result in flash flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Scottsburg, Salem, Vienna, Austin, Lexington, Hanover, Saluda,
Smyrna, Campbellsburg and Kent.

Additional thunderstorms are developing west and northwest of the
warning area and additional heavy rainfall is expected this evening.
An additional 1-2 inches is possible before thunderstorms weaken
after sunset.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
