...THIS IS A FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY FOR EASTERN CALCASIEU and
JEFFERSON DAVIS PARISH...

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM CDT FOR
JEFFERSON DAVIS AND SOUTHEASTERN CALCASIEU PARISHES...

At 112 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling over the area.  Six to ten inches of
rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Eastern Calcasieu and Jefferson
Davis Parish. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. Please
stay where you are unless the location you are at begins to flood!

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lake Charles, Sulphur, Jennings, Westlake, Welsh, Iowa, Lake Arthur,
Fenton, Lake Charles Regional Airport, Hayes, Moss Bluff, Carlyss,
Buhler, Lebleu Settlement, Gillis, Pine Island, Thornwell, Holmwood,
Bell City and Roanoke.

Additional rainfall amounts of three to five inches are possible in
the warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
