...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 AM CDT FOR
NORTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY...

At 831 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rains across the warned area. Four to seven inches of rain have
fallen across Northern Montgomery County. Flash flooding is imminent!

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Independence, Cherryvale, Elk City, Bolton, Sycamore, Elk City Lake
and Elk City State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Never drive through flooded roads or highways,
especially at night!

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
