  Eastern Wharton County in southeastern Texas...
  Southeastern Austin County in southeastern Texas...
  Western Fort Bend County in southeastern Texas...
  West central Brazoria County in southeastern Texas...
  Southeastern Waller County in southeastern Texas...
  Central Matagorda County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 615 AM CDT.

* At 246 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Rainfall amounts of 8 to 16
  inches has fallen across the area earlier and rainfall rates of
  4 to 6 inches per hour will accompany the storms as they slowly move
  eastward. Dangerous life threatening flooding is ongoing. Do not
  attempt to travel in the flood emergency area.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for a large area from near Simonton
  to Beasley to Boling-Iago to Bay City to southeast of Palacios. This
  is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

  Matagorda, western Rosenberg, Bay City, Wharton, Sealy, Brookshire,
  South Texas Nuclear Plant, Needville, East Bernard, Wallis,
  Fulshear, Pleak, Simonton, San Felipe, Beasley, Pattison,
  Kendleton, Orchard, Weston Lakes and Van Vleck.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
